This March, we invite you to join us in a trifecta of celebrations: March Madness, Women’s History Month, and International Women’s Day. We will be honoring women from diverse fields across our products, beginning with Google TV and the NCAA Women’s Tournament.

The spotlight is on the women’s tournament this year, and for good reason. According to Google Trends, NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball reached an all-time high last year, thanks in part to stars like Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers, who are the most searched women in U.S. college basketball.

Starting March 16, when the women’s bracket is announced, you can watch every exciting game live on Google TV. Additionally, Google TV allows you to catch up on recaps and highlights at your convenience. The For You page also features a wide range of live women’s sports programming, including National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) matches in the U.S. and Liga MX Femenil matches in Mexico, all available for free with ads. Furthermore, be on the lookout for free WNBA games on the ION FAST channel when the season begins later this year.

We are celebrating International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month in the following five ways:

  1. Today’s Google Doodle commemorates International Women’s Day by highlighting groundbreaking achievements and inventions by women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
  2. Google Play has introduced its Women’s History Month Hub, which features curated collections of apps, games, and books that celebrate women and promote growth.
  3. YouTube Music is showcasing prominent female artists in the dance and electronic genres, with playlists such as Amapiano Essence, Dance Pop Bangers, Women of Electronic, and more. When you visit YouTube’s social media accounts, you’ll see custom artwork by creator Emonee LaRussa throughout the month of March.
  4. Google Cloud and Google Workspace are highlighting the remarkable accomplishments of women in cloud computing and business through the Celebrating Women in Cloud Technology & Business 2025 video series. This series recognizes and elevates the professional achievements of women, sharing their expertise and offering valuable advice to the next generation.
  5. Google Meet has partnered with our Women@Google Employee Resource Group to create a virtual background featuring the stunning artwork of Manon Louart, which embodies serenity and well-being. You can change your background by following these instructions.

This International Women’s Day, join us in celebrating the incredible achievements of women across sports, technology, business, and beyond.
