The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) and the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) have announced SHIELD 2025, a two-day conclave aimed at addressing pressing issues of cybercrime. The event is scheduled to take place on February 18-19 and will bring together key stakeholders from law enforcement, industry, academia, NGOs, and government agencies to foster collaboration in fighting cybercrime.

Background

The announcement comes against the backdrop of 2024 cybercrime statistics, which show India reporting losses of ₹22,812 crore. Telangana alone witnessed 1,20,869 cybercrime victims last year, with the TGCSB successfully recovering ₹183 crore for 17,912 victims.
