Samsung is enhancing its Health app capabilities by introducing a new One UI 7 health update, which aims to provide users with valuable insights into their sleep patterns, making their experience more convenient.
Recently, the South Korean tech giant announced its plans to release the stable One UI 7 software version next month, with the beta program expanding to select Galaxy devices starting from March 6.
In the meantime, the company has shared some useful insights into the sleep patterns of Samsung Health and Galaxy Watch users. Additionally, a Health update is scheduled for release later this month, specifically for One UI 7 users.
In a previous study, Samsung examined the sleep patterns of Health users during the night of Daylight Saving Time (DST) and discovered how these time changes affected different age groups. The findings showed that, on average, people went to bed approximately 30 minutes later and woke up 19 minutes earlier than usual on the day of DST.

To address this, Samsung has shared some tips and will release a new Samsung Health update, which includes a Sleep Environment Report. This feature enables users to create an ideal sleep environment by analyzing key factors that influence sleep quality, such as temperature, CO2, humidity, and more, on Galaxy devices running One UI 7.

The update will also enhance the Energy Score function and introduce a new Activity Consistency metric. Additionally, the company recommends that Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring users try the Sleep Coaching feature to get a personalized sleep coaching program, especially with World Sleep Day and Daylight Saving Time approaching.
