Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Surprises Fans with RCS Support Beyond Expectations
The Samsung Galaxy S25 series has left its fan base in awe, as it has been discovered that the device is running One UI 7, and more surprisingly, it is showcasing notable signs of RCS (Rich Communication Services) support. This development comes as a surprise, especially considering that Samsung and Verizon had previously confirmed that Samsung Messages would be “sunsetting” in favor of Google Messages.

A user on X, Jeff Springer, shared a post claiming that Samsung Messages on the Galaxy S25 Ultra does have RCS. He also uploaded a few screenshots that read, “Faster, richer, higher quality chat on Wi-Fi or data,” followed by the instructions on how to turn on RCS chats from Google.

However, there are no official words regarding this development yet, but it could be possible since Samsung and Google are already good collaborators with each other.
Noticeably, the banner hasn’t come into existence on the Galaxy S24 Ultra running One UI 7 beta 3. While on the Galaxy S25 Ultra (with Verizon) based on One UI 7, the banner showcases additional details. For instance, after installing Samsung Messages from the Galaxy Store, it no longer redirects you to Google Messages, as previously announced.
The feature is available on Samsung Messages running on version number v15.7.02.15. Reportedly, while testing the RCS feature on the Verizon-locked Galaxy S25 Ultra, it does not work, but the unlocked unit running T-Mobile works seamlessly with RCS.
It remains to be seen what statement Samsung will release regarding this surprise and whether it will expand this option to the Galaxy S24 series with the stable One UI 7 since it’s not available in the beta version.
