The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, a member of the Galaxy S24 family and a Fan Edition model, is a strong candidate to receive the One UI 7 update. Nevertheless, at present, the device is only getting a February 2025 security patch.
The February update for the Galaxy S24 FE is now available for all carrier-locked models (including T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Spectrum Mobile, Comcast, and AT&T) and unlocked models in the US. The update is identified by the build number S721USQS3AYA1 for locked units and S721U1UES3AYA2 for unlocked devices.
The software update does not introduce any significant new features or changes. Instead, it focuses on enhancing the device’s security by addressing various vulnerabilities from previous versions and protecting against potential external threats.
In addition to the security enhancements, the update also improves the overall system stability and brings performance optimizations. These optimizations will result in a smoother and more efficient user experience.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE was initially released in September 2024 with Android 14. Although the device is eligible for the latest One UI 7 version, it is unclear when Samsung will start rolling out this new software skin to the Fan Edition unit. For now, S24 FE owners can download the February patch when it becomes available.
