Exciting news for Samsung Galaxy users: a new feature is on the way, offering seamless Gemini Live video streaming and screen sharing via a Gemini Advanced subscription.

At the recent MWC, Google unveiled a Gemini AI feature, initially code-named Project Astra. This innovative Gemini Live feature allows users to analyze real-time video and share their screens with ease.

Gemini’s Astra Camera feature will not be exclusive to Galaxy S25 users

Contrary to initial rumors, this feature will not be limited to Pixel and Galaxy S25 devices. It is now confirmed that any Android device running on Android 10 or later will be compatible with Gemini Live video streaming and screen-sharing features. This means all Galaxy smartphones running on Android 10 and above can take advantage of these features.

Notably, these features are available to Gemini Advanced subscribers as part of the $20/month Google One AI Premium plan. However, Samsung has offered a six-month subscription to Gemini Advanced with the Galaxy S25 series. This means Galaxy S25 users can enjoy the new Gemini Live video streaming and screen sharing features for free until the subscription expires. The screen sharing feature enables analysis and assistance with anything on the screen, including websites and applications. Meanwhile, Gemini Live utilizes AI to analyze live video from the camera.
