So far, Samsung’s One UI updates have been impressive, but the most significant overhaul came with the introduction of One UI 7, which runs on Android 15.

However, this version has had the slowest update rollout to date. Fortunately, Samsung has finally released the first One UI 7 beta, ending a long period of anticipation since Android 15’s official launch.

The first One UI 7 beta marked the beginning of the One UI 7 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series, which was released on December 5, 2024. This was followed by Beta 2 on December 16, Beta 3 on January 6, Beta 4 on February 19, Beta 5 on March 17, and finally, Beta 6 on March 26, 2025.

After a long wait, Samsung finally ended the beta phase for the Galaxy S24 family on April 7, 2025, releasing the highly anticipated stable One UI 7 update. The company then began expanding the stable update to more Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and foldables in eligible regions beyond South Korea.

The initial batch of One UI 7 stable updates included the Galaxy S24 family, which had been testing the update for over two months, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Later, Samsung expanded the One UI 7 stable version to more devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S10 and Tab S10 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S9 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, and Galaxy S24 FE.

Note that Samsung Galaxy A55 units are currently testing One UI 7 Beta 3, which is only available in India.

One UI 7 has brought significant feature upgrades and enhancements, including improved Galaxy AI, Audio Eraser, Now Bar, and its companion Now Brief, Samsung Log, a more improved Control Center, Media Player Widget integration, and other productivity features like Writing Assist, Call Transcript, and AI-powered multitasking. Additionally, the update includes upgraded security and strengthened privacy management, as well as more customizations within Good Lock. (Note: features may vary by device.)
