Casetify is renowned for creating durable and stylish phone cases, and it also offers several eco-friendly options. The company’s latest introduction is its Compostable phone cases line, made from a 100 percent compostable and plant-based material known as “Ecotify,” which combines bamboo, biopolymers, and starch.

The standard Compostable line offers drop protection of approximately four feet, whereas the Ultra Compostable line, featuring extra corner bumpers, provides a drop protection of around 6.6 feet. I recommend opting for the more durable Ultra Compostable option, even if it comes at a slightly higher cost.

Unfortunately, Casetify’s Compostable line is exclusively available for iPhones. However, the company does produce other sustainable cases for both iPhone and Samsung Galaxy handsets, albeit not compostable. These cases are made from 65 percent recycled materials. Additionally, Casetify provides an option to return old cases, which they will then reuse or up-cycle to create new ones, thus reducing plastic waste.

The most significant advantage of Casetify’s cases is their high customizability. You can choose your preferred bumper colors and designs (Casetify frequently collaborates with brands and illustrators to create unique styles), and you can even add engravings to the cases. Furthermore, you can opt for thicker bumpers to add extra protection (Casetify claims the “Bounce Case” offers 13-foot drop protection).
