Every season of Black Mirror brings with it a set of familiar themes, including the darker aspects of technology and its impact on society, often leading to terror, unease, and occasional glimpses of artificial happiness. The Netflix series, known for its “the grim future is now” narrative, has also become synonymous with featuring an A-list cast. Recently, the platform released a new trailer for the upcoming seventh season of Black Mirror, which consists of six episodes, along with a release date set for April 10. The season also boasts some new additions to its already impressive cast.
A dream that might just turn into a nightmare.
As previously announced, the seventh season of the series created by Charlie Brooker will include a sequel to the popular season four episode USS Callister. Raymond, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jimmi Simpson, and Harriet Walter.
Adding to this impressive lineup are Will Poulter, known for his role in Black Mirror‘s interactive special Bandersnatch, as well as Ben Bailey Smith, Asim Chaudhry, Josh Finan, James Nelson-Joyce, Jay Simpson, and Michael Workéyè.
While Netflix hasn’t disclosed the episode breakdown for the cast or any detailed plot information beyond the return of the USS Callister crew, it has shared several first-look images to accompany the trailer. Here’s a sneak peek.
