Samsung is broadening its presence in the mobile gaming sector through the introduction of its cloud gaming platform, thereby making it simpler for game developers to access a vast audience of players.
Samsung Electronics is proactively pushing the boundaries of gaming on Galaxy devices with cutting-edge advancements through its mobile cloud gaming platform. This platform equips mobile game developers and publishers of all sizes with a comprehensive suite of software development kits (SDKs) and tools, empowering them to grow their reach, boost revenue potential, and streamline game development.
In November 2024, the company launched this platform, which enhances the gaming experience for players by allowing them to play games instantly without waiting for downloads. The platform has already demonstrated significant value within the gaming community; for instance, Klondike Adventures, a game developed by VIZOR, saw a notable surge in players after joining Samsung’s cloud gaming platform in July 2024. According to reports, VIZOR acquired millions of new players and stated that its ad campaigns on cloud gaming platforms were 25% more effective than other campaigns.

Samsung’s new cloud gaming platform also provides a convenient method for measuring ad performance. Previously, developers were forced to track ads by counting the number of people who downloaded their game, but with cloud gaming, players don’t need to download the game, making this tracking method outdated. To address this issue, Samsung collaborated with AppsFlyer to create a new system that is compatible with tracking players’ actions even if they don’t install the game.
Starting May 15, 2025, Samsung will begin updating its public terms to put more revenue back into developers’ hands and will introduce an 80/20 revenue share model for games on the Galaxy Store.
