Samsung is aggressively looking forward to expanding its foldable family by introducing more foldable smartphones, including its first-ever tri-fold named Galaxy G Fold, which is anticipated to weigh the same as its competitor.

Initially, Samsung was rumored to debut its first tri-fold device named Galaxy G Fold by the end of this year, although now a new report suggests the timeline, which hints the launch is shifted to next year.

Samsung could be the first brand to debut the tri-fold (Galaxy G Fold) phone in the industry, but only if it is available worldwide, since on the comparison side, Huawei has already launched the Huawei Mate XT (tri-fold) smartphone but is only available in selected regions.

A reliable tipster, Anthony, shared a post on X, revealing that the Galaxy G Fold will weigh 298g, like its competitor, the Huawei Mate XT. This means that if it’s not lighter than its competitor, then it won’t be too bulky.

Recently, in a blog post, it was revealed that “Weight is about the same as H, but slightly thicker.” We assumed the ‘H’ here was Huawei, and the tipster clarified the assumption. Although there’s no official confirmation regarding this report yet, it will be interesting to see exactly how much it will weigh.
