Shortly after the release of Grok 3, the latest AI model from Elon Musk’s company xAI, the platform X has substantially increased the price of its top-tier Premium+ subscription plan, which provides access to the latest model, to nearly $50 per month.

According to X’s support page, which outlines the premium plans, the monthly subscription price for Premium+ in the U.S. has been updated to $50, while the yearly price is now $350.

This marks the second price increase for the Premium+ plan in a short span of a couple of months. Previously, in December, the company raised the subscription fee from $16 to $22 per month. Based on the listed prices, the new plan will cost Premium+ subscribers more than twice their current payment.

xAI has placed certain features of Grok 3, such as “deep search” and “reasoning,” behind a separate SuperGrok plan accessible through the Grok app, making them exclusive to users of the Premium+ plan.

Notably, the pricing on X appears to be inconsistent: when attempting to sign up for the Premium+ plan, the platform displayed a monthly cost of $39.83 ($477.95 annually), yet the final checkout page quoted an annual fee of $395.

Furthermore, while the support page indicates a monthly subscription cost of $50, the sign-up page lists the price as $48.40 per month, and the checkout page charges $40 per month.
