The Universal and Blumhouse film Wolf Man initially hit theaters in January and is now set to arrive on Peacock on Friday, April 18.

Directed by Leigh Whannell, the reboot will be available to stream exclusively on the platform. It has been available for rent or purchase on Apple TV and Prime Video since February. The movie tells the story of a couple, played by Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner, who take their daughter to Abbott’s childhood home in Oregon. However, after an animal attack leaves Abbott’s character injured, they must barricade themselves inside the house to survive the creature outside and Abbott’s transformation into a dangerous being.

Unlike Whannell’s 2020 Invisible Man reboot, Wolf Man received mixed reviews. Despite the impressive trailers, the film’s marketing campaign was somewhat unusual. Universal released a pre-release clip of the character’s transformation, which occurs late in the film, and showcased the creature’s design at Halloween Horror Nights last year. These moves may have contributed to the film’s modest box office performance, earning $34.9 million, and its subsequent release on PVOD after a few weeks. For those who haven’t seen it, this is a good opportunity to catch up and see what the fuss is about.
