Enhanced WhatsApp Status Features

WhatsApp is set to introduce new features for its Status function, enabling users to share collages, music, and fresh stickers. Similar to Facebook and Instagram’s Stories feature, WhatsApp’s Status allows users to post text, photos, or videos that disappear after 24 hours.

Since the introduction of music sharing, users have been able to add song clips to their status, selecting from the app’s music library. These clips can be up to 15 seconds long when paired with photos or 60 seconds long with videos. Moreover, users can now convert these clips into stickers, adding a musical touch to their status. Alternatively, users can share the song as a standalone status update.

A new “Layout” feature will enable users to create and share customized collages of up to six pictures in their status. Additionally, a new “Add Yours” sticker will encourage followers to engage with the status by responding with their own photos. Users can also turn photos into stickers, resize and reshape them, and add them to their status.

According to Meta, the new status features will begin rolling out soon and will become more widely available on WhatsApp in the coming months.
