A new Nintendo Direct is on the horizon, marking the third in less than a month. This latest installment will be exclusively focused on the upcoming Switch 2 launch title, Mario Kart World. The presentation is set to begin at 9AM ET and is expected to last around 15 minutes.
The event will be livestreamed on Nintendo’s YouTube page, and fans can also follow along using the recently launched Nintendo Today! app. For convenience, we have embedded the YouTube link below, so feel free to keep this tab open.
At this point, the details of what Nintendo plans to reveal during the Direct presentation are unclear. The company has already shared a significant amount of information about Mario Kart World, including its open-world design and support for 24 players simultaneously.
However, several questions remain unanswered, particularly regarding the game’s open-world aspects. Will there be rewards for exploration? Are there hidden tracks or characters that can only be unlocked through discovery? While we don’t have the answers yet, there is still hope that these questions will be addressed.
The game’s pricing is another topic of interest, with the $80 retail price of Mario Kart World being a point of concern for many fans, as discussed in our previous article Is the $450 Nintendo Switch 2 too expensive?. Given Nintendo’s recent release of its first $70 game, it seems unlikely that the company will reduce the price. Nevertheless, we might receive some updates on the preorder date for US customers.
