Tinder’s CEO, Faye Iosotaluno, has announced that she will be leaving her position in July, as revealed in a post on her LinkedIn page.

Iosotaluno’s tenure as CEO was less than a year, although she has been with the company, which is a subsidiary of Match Group, for nearly eight years. In her announcement, she expressed pride in the team she has built and worked with, stating that her future plans are “deeply personal.”

Regarding her decision, Iosotaluno noted that the consumer tech industry is undergoing significant changes, which is also reflected in her own aspirations. She wrote, “Building upon the progress and lessons I’ve learned at Tinder, where diverse voices around the table lead to better and more impactful decisions, I’m drawn to supporting and building alongside the next generation of women leaders, founders, and investors.”

In a separate post, Match Group’s CEO, Spencer Rascoff, announced that he will be taking over the leadership of the Tinder team. He expressed appreciation for the time spent preparing for this transition and his enthusiasm for continuing to build on the momentum created by Iosotaluno and her team.

Rascoff stated, “I’m grateful for the time we’ve spent together over the past few months preparing for this news to ensure a smooth transition. As I step in to lead the team, I’m energized by the momentum you’ve helped create and excited to continue building with the exceptional leaders in place.”

Match Group is currently exploring strategies to boost Tinder’s growth, according to a report by Bloomberg. Earlier this month, the company announced a 13% reduction in staff to reduce costs and streamline decision-making, with a significant portion of these cuts affecting Tinder.
