Although Samsung has not yet launched the Galaxy G Fold (Tri-fold) smartphone, a new patent for the Galaxy G Flip (tri-flip) has surfaced online.
The South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil its first-ever tri-fold phone, known as the Galaxy G Fold, by the end of this year. However, a recent report suggests that the company is also developing a tri-flip phone, potentially called the Galaxy G Flip.
A report from 91mobiles revealed that Samsung has filed a new patent (D1066324) for a Z-shaped trifold display device that may be called the Galaxy G Flip. The device features two hinges that form a Z-shape when the displays are opened.

According to reports, this design is ornamental, and if it becomes a commercial product, it is likely to carry a high price tag. The design resembles a rectangular handheld slab with minimal bezels on the longer sides.
However, since this design has only appeared in the patent, it remains to be seen whether it will become a commercial product. Currently, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip FE foldable phones at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event.
It was recently reported that Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy G Fold later than the Galaxy Unpacked event, and it is rumored to be available in limited markets.
