Samsung is set to globally launch its next-generation smartphone series, the Galaxy S25, to retail stores, which is currently in the pre-order stage. As the excitement for the upcoming phones increases, the company is updating its Galaxy devices with the January 2025 security patch at a rapid pace.
Samsung Shifts Focus to Galaxy A Series Models
Following the launch of its flagships, Samsung has now shifted its focus to the Galaxy A series models. The Galaxy A23, A32, and A35 units have started receiving the January 2025 security update in the US.
January 2025 Security Update Details
The January 2025 security update for the Galaxy A23 is only available for carrier-locked smartphones and can be identified with the A236USQS9EYA1 version number. Unlocked units will receive the update soon.
The Galaxy A32 and Galaxy A35 smartphones are also receiving the same update for both carrier-locked and unlocked devices. The locked Galaxy A32 units come with the A326USQSHDXL1 version number, while unlocked models carry the A326U1UESHDXL1 version number.
The Galaxy A35 models (carrier-locked ones) have the A356USQS4AYA5 version number, while unlocked units hold the A356U1UES4AYA1 version number.
January 2025 Security Patch Details
The January 2025 security patch, however, does not mention any major features and changes. Instead, it focuses on improving the device’s security by integrating various fixes brought by both Google and Samsung collectively for all the security vulnerabilities.
