Samsung consistently strives to enhance the experience of Galaxy users. Recently, an important notice has been released regarding Samsung Wallet when replacing a USIM.
This notice is particularly relevant to all Samsung Wallet users who plan to replace their USIM while utilizing the Wallet service with a transportation card and mobile ID.
According to Samsung Wallet’s notice, users who utilize a transportation card and mobile ID with Samsung Wallet must take certain precautions before replacing their USIM. Firstly, for the transportation card, users must complete the prepaid transportation card refund procedure before replacing the USIM.
If the USIM is replaced without a refund, prepaid transportation card holders must obtain a reissued transportation card from the card company and then complete the refund process. Meanwhile, postpaid transportation card holders must undergo the transport card deletion process.
Regarding mobile ID owners, Samsung Wallet requires the user’s mobile ID for issuance. If the USIM is replaced, it may become challenging to use the previously issued mobile ID. However, users may experience some inconvenience, but to reissue the mobile ID and continue using it, they must visit Samsung Wallet help support to reissue the ID.
