Samsung is enhancing its digital wallet, known as Samsung Wallet, by introducing support for mobile driver’s licenses in certain markets.

The South Korean technology giant has introduced a dedicated digital wallet called Samsung Wallet, which incorporates the features of Samsung Pay. This wallet enables users to store, manage, and access various digital assets, including credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, membership cards, digital keys, and more, all within a single secure platform.

Now, Samsung Wallet also includes the capability to store digital driver’s licenses via the “Digital ID” feature, as well as state IDs, providing a convenient and secure method for presenting identification for various purposes, such as TSA checkpoints and potentially other situations.

A tipster, TheGalox, on X, shared a post revealing that mobile driver’s licenses are now supported in Samsung Wallet, listing the following regions:

• Arizona
• Colorado
• Georgia
• Iowa
• Maryland
• West Virginia

These regions are considered US states, and it is anticipated that the company will soon expand the availability of mobile driver’s licenses.

Recently, it was reported that Samsung added Tap to Transfer Payments support for Samsung Wallet users in the US, promoting the peer-to-peer payment feature across the country. With the integration of driver’s licenses into its payment service, Galaxy users can expect a more enhanced experience.
