Samsung is gearing up to unveil its highly anticipated Android XR headsets, known as Project Moohan, at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2025 event in Barcelona.

For those who may have missed it, Project Moohan represents Samsung’s first foray into Android-based XR headsets, developed in collaboration with Google. This innovative project combines Gemini AI and Circle to Search, along with various multimodal AI integrations, to provide a glimpse into the future of Android-powered XR technology.

Although previous leaks indicated that Samsung would introduce its Android XR headsets at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January, this did not come to pass. However, the company has now officially confirmed that Project Moohan will be unveiled at the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2025, taking place from March 3rd to 6th, 2025.

Samsung’s new Android XR headsets will combine various technologies, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR), to create a revolutionary user experience. The partnership with Google will play a significant role, as the headsets will be powered by an Android-based XR platform and feature Google’s prominent services, including Find My Device.

At this point, Samsung intends to unveil its Android XR headsets, Project Moohan, at MWC 2025. However, it remains unclear whether the company will provide detailed information about the headsets or simply showcase them on stage, highlighting their impressive features.
