Samsung has recently introduced its newest mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy M56, which boasts the title of being the slimmest device in its segment. To get a better understanding, let’s delve into the specifications of this device.

Previously, Samsung unveiled a range of mid-range Galaxy devices under the A-series, including the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26. Now, the company has launched the Galaxy M56 smartphone as the successor to the Galaxy M55.

The newly released Galaxy M56 has a thickness of 7.2mm, whereas its predecessor, the Galaxy M55, measures 7.8mm, and the recently launched Galaxy A56 measures 7.4mm. This makes the Galaxy M56 the slimmest device in its segment.

The device features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is 33% brighter and has 36% slimmer bezels compared to its predecessor. The Galaxy M56 is powered by an in-house Exynos 1480 chipset and runs on Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box.

The device is available in two storage variants, which are as follows:

  • 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage
  • 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage

The camera setup includes a 50MP wide-angle lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. A 12MP camera is housed on the front for taking selfies. The device has a 5000mAh battery with 45W charging support.

Samsung offers two color options for the device: Black and Light Green. The Galaxy M56 will go on sale in the Indian market starting April 23, with a starting price of INR 25,000.
