Samsung is bolstering its position in the tech industry by developing groundbreaking gadgets, and its latest innovation is a color E-Paper display designed for retail stores.
The South Korean tech giant has created a 5K color e-paper display that boasts near-zero power consumption during operation, making it highly suitable for commercial use, such as in retail stores and advertising.
At the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 event in Barcelona, Spain, Samsung unveiled its new lineup of commercial displays and TVs, including a Color E-Paper display that consumes a mere 0.00W of power when displaying static images, achieving unprecedented energy efficiency.

The company has made the newly introduced Color E-Paper display available in four different size variants, which are as follows:
- A 75-inch model with a resolution of 5,120 x 2,880 pixels
- A 32-inch model with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels
- A 25-inch model with a resolution of 3,200 x 1,800 pixels
- A 13-inch model with a resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 pixels
Each variant of the display comes equipped with 8GB of storage, Wi-Fi, two USB Type-C ports, Bluetooth, and a built-in 5,000mAh battery. It runs on Tizen OS and boasts an ultra-slim and lightweight design. Retail stores and other businesses can easily control content on these screens using a dedicated app.
The display utilizes software powered by Android 15 and features advanced AI capabilities for an enhanced experience. It allows users to remotely control Samsung’s Color E-Paper displays, schedule wake and sleep times, and set playlists with visuals.
Regarding the display, Hoon Chung, executive vice president at Samsung DX, stated, “Our latest innovations, including the near-zero power Samsung Color E-Paper and advanced AI capabilities, demonstrate our commitment to pioneering new markets and providing transformative business solutions worldwide.”
