According to recent reports, Samsung is set to introduce innovative Bone Conduction Earphones to its lineup of smart and wearable earphones this year, marking a significant expansion of its offerings.
It was previously reported that Samsung is developing next-generation affordable earbuds, the Galaxy Buds FE 2. Now, a new report suggests that the company is working on another innovative product, which is expected to debut this year.
A Korean blog revealed that Samsung will unveil its first-ever Bone Conduction earphones at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which is scheduled to take place in the early second half of the year. The upcoming audio product is reportedly codenamed “Able.”
Bone Conduction technology works by directly transmitting sound to the inner ear, bypassing the eardrum and outer ear by using the bones of the skull. According to the report, Samsung is expected to produce approximately 1.7 million units of the new “Able” earphones this year, accounting for around 15% of the MX Division’s annual earphone shipments.
It remains to be seen whether the company will introduce the upcoming Bone Conduction Earphones as part of an existing Galaxy Buds lineup or debut a new audio product series. Although Samsung has not released any official statement regarding this leak, it will be interesting to see if this report becomes a reality.Related
