Samsung continues to work on Android 15, and for the first time, a One UI 7 build has been detected for the Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The South Korean technology company operates a dedicated service known as Remote Test Lab, which offers a cloud-based or on-premise environment. This environment provides access to actual devices, browsers, and operating systems, facilitating efficient software testing. It also enables testers to verify application functionality across multiple configurations without requiring physical access to the hardware, allowing for real-time testing and bug identification.

Developers occasionally upload early builds for newer devices or test updates for older devices to this service. Currently, One UI 7 test updates for the Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S21 Ultra have been spotted on the platform.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra has received its first publicly visible build for One UI 7, designated as FYD5. This build includes the April 2025 security patch and the February Google Play System update. Notable features in this build include a thicker battery icon, split Quick Settings, Notifications, and several Galaxy AI features, such as Photo Assist and Drawing Assist.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra has been spotted with the firmware version HYD5. This build features the same April 2025 security patch and Google Play system update version from February 2025. However, the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s build only includes Live Notifications, blur effects, and Nearby Devices. Although Samsung recently reported that it has paused the One UI 7 rollout due to a serious bug, it remains uncertain when the rollout will resume.
