A new security patch has been spotted for various Galaxy devices, including flagship models like the Galaxy S21 series, as well as the Galaxy A54, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A35, and Galaxy S24 FE.The update is currently available in Europe, with countries such as Italy and Switzerland being among the first to receive it, while other regions are expected to follow soon.
Notably, the February update for Samsung’s 2021 models, namely the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra, carries the version numbers G998BXXSEGYA2, G998BXXSEGYA2, and G998BXXSEGYA2, respectively. In contrast, the Galaxy A54, A34, and A35 units feature the build numbers A546BXXSBCYB1, A346BXXS9CYA1, and A356BXXS4AYB1.
Galaxy S24 FE’s February Patch Introduces Auto Blocker Feature
Meanwhile, the update for Samsung Galaxy S24 FE models has been identified with the build number S721BXXS3AYA4. A key highlight of this security patch is the introduction of the Auto Blocker feature, which restricts USB device connections for data transfer, only allowing them for charging purposes after the update.Although the update is primarily a security patch, it does not bring any major new features or changes. Instead, it addresses numerous security vulnerabilities identified by Google and Samsung, providing fixes and performance optimizations to enhance the overall user experience and protect devices against external threats.
