The upcoming major OS from Samsung, One UI 8.5, has been a topic of discussion for quite some time. The latest flagships, the S25 series, are expected to receive the One UI 8.5 update, but the wait has just become longer due to an unexpected hurdle in the beta program.

Initially, it was reported that Samsung would begin the One UI 8.5 beta program next month. However, this plan seems to be changing, causing a delay in the start of the beta phase.

The Galaxy S25 series, which currently runs on One UI 8, was expected to be the first to participate in the One UI 8.5 beta program. Nevertheless, according to a recent report from tipster Tarun Vats on X, it appears that the Galaxy S25 family may not be as fortunate, at least for the time being.

Furthermore, the tipster claimed that Samsung seems reluctant to proceed with the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series, which may lead to a further delay.

A possible reason for this delay could be the Galaxy S26+. Initially, Samsung seemed to be replacing the model with the Galaxy S26 Edge, but recent reports suggest that the Plus model may return. This internal shuffling between the Galaxy S26 Edge and the Plus model may have contributed to the delay, making it unlikely that the One UI 8.5 beta program will roll out in November.

While the exact cause of the delay remains unknown, it is essential to note that such reports should not be taken as confirmed. The Galaxy audience will have to wait until Samsung officially announces any crucial details regarding the One UI 8.5 beta launch timeline.
