Earlier last month, Samsung announced that it would be expanding the One UI 7 beta update to older Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy A55, starting from March 6. However, the update has yet to be received.

Samsung initially launched the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series in December 2024 and has since rolled out six beta updates for these devices. Last month, the company officially announced that it would be expanding the beta program to selected older Galaxy smartphones from March 6, including the following devices:

  • Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Tab S10+, Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, and Galaxy A55

According to the announcement, the beta program has been expanded to all of these devices, with the exception of the Galaxy A55 smartphone. This indicates that Samsung has failed to fulfill its promise to release the One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy A55.

Meanwhile, Samsung has also revealed the official timeline for the stable One UI 7 release, which is set to begin on April 7 globally.

Given that we are already in April and just a week away from the stable release at the time of writing, it is possible that Samsung may skip expanding the beta update to the Galaxy A55. However, there has been no official statement, so it remains to be seen what will happen next.
