According to recent reports, Samsung is set to receive a significant payment from Google, which will cover the cost of pre-installing Gemini on Galaxy devices.

In an effort to maintain its position as the leading search engine, Google pays substantial amounts to Apple to remain the default search engine on Apple devices, including computers, smartphones, and tablets.

A new report from Bloomberg reveals that Google is planning to pay a substantial sum to Samsung to have Gemini pre-installed on Galaxy devices. This information was disclosed during the antitrust trial between Google and the US Department of Justice (DOJ).

It’s not surprising that Google is paying a large sum to Samsung, as it was previously revealed during the Epic Games vs Google Lawsuit that Google paid $8 billion over four years to pre-install the Google Search engine and Play Store on Galaxy devices.

Google is currently struggling to maintain its legacy and is in the midst of a remedies trial for its Search dominance. Unfortunately, the company lost the trial to the DOJ last year, which may result in banning it from making deals with companies like Apple and Samsung. However, the outcome is still uncertain.
