Throughout the years, Samsung has established itself as a leader in consistently delivering security updates for its Galaxy devices.

However, it is inevitable that older devices will eventually reach the end of their lifespan for receiving crucial software updates; Samsung has now discontinued support for several devices that will no longer receive security patches.

Samsung has always prioritized the security of its Galaxy devices, categorizing them into monthly, quarterly, and biannual security updates. The company’s software update policy dictates that updates are delivered accordingly, and once a device’s update support period expires, it will no longer receive further updates.

End of One UI Updates: Samsung Discontinues Software Support for Certain Galaxy Phones

With the release of the latest March 2025 Android security patch notes, it has been revealed that Samsung has ended software support for several devices, including the Galaxy A32 5G, Galaxy F12, and Galaxy M12. As a result, these devices received the February 2025 security patch as their final update and are now ineligible for further key software updates.

The Galaxy A32 5G, Galaxy F12, and Galaxy M12 were launched with Android 11 OS and were part of Samsung’s three- and four-year software update policy, which limited them to four years of security updates. Having already missed out on major OS updates, they have now reached the end of their security patch update lifespan.
