Introduction to Gemini-Based Features

Samsung’s collaboration with Google has resulted in the well-received Gemini-based features. The latest Galaxy S25 series has emerged as the most powerful model, boasting new Gemini-powered features, albeit currently limited to the Chrome browser. However, it seems that the Samsung Internet browser may soon benefit from Gemini as well.

Current Gemini Capabilities

Google’s Gemini is currently compatible with Google Chrome, allowing it to summarize articles and attach URLs for scanning entire webpage content. This capability is a significant advantage for users, providing a more efficient way to consume online content.

Expanded Compatibility for Samsung Internet Browser

According to reports from Android Authority, the Samsung Internet browser is showing signs of compatibility with Gemini’s URL-based summaries of entire webpage content. Previously, Gemini could only capture screenshot-based summaries of on-screen content. This development could bring a welcome change, enhancing the user experience for Samsung Internet browser users.

Discovery and Implications

The discovery was made while running the Google app’s 16.10.40.sa.arm64 version on Android. Gemini seamlessly accessed the entire URL to offer more comprehensive summaries, not just the visible content. This could be a significant bonus for Galaxy smartphone owners who prefer Samsung Internet over Google Chrome.

Future Release and Development

The Gemini capability for the Samsung Internet browser appears to be in development. Hopefully, Samsung will release the feature soon, allowing Galaxy fans to leverage the collaboration between Google and Samsung. As the development progresses, users can expect a more enhanced browsing experience on their Samsung devices.
