Samsung has unveiled a range of innovative AI features for its Galaxy devices with the introduction of One UI 7. As previously announced, the company has also enhanced the performance of its virtual assistant, incorporating AI for greater accuracy. Furthermore, a new feature called Chat World has been introduced in China, which is expected to significantly improve the functionality of the assistant.

What is the Chat World feature?

According to IceUniverse, Samsung has integrated the Chat World feature into the Bixby application to augment its voice assistant capabilities. This feature enables users to easily obtain information about any object, text, or scene in their surroundings using their smartphone camera.

For example, it functions similarly to Google Lens, but instead of searching the web, it provides live results directly on the screen. To utilize this feature, simply open Bixby, enable Chat World, and point your smartphone camera at the object or text you want to learn more about.

Availability

Samsung has introduced the Chat World feature in China on its Galaxy Z Fold SE (W25) with One UI 6.1.1. Given the feature’s potential to enhance daily life, the company may plan to expand its availability to more countries in the future.
