PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for May
The PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for May includes some heavy hitters like Sand Land and Battlefield V. All of the following games will be available to play on May 20.
First up, there’s the visually stunning Sand Land. This is an adaptation of an Akira Toriyama manga, the creator of the Dragon Ball franchise, who also designed many monsters and characters in Chrono Trigger and the Dragon Quest series. The game is essentially a faithful recreation of the manga, presented in a fast-paced action RPG package with an emphasis on vehicular combat. The game will be playable on both PS4 and PS5.
Battlefield V returns the long-standing franchise to WWII, offering an immersive first-person shooter experience. It also features a battle royale mode capable of handling up to 64 simultaneous players, making for an engaging experience, especially for those looking for an alternative to Call of Duty. This title is exclusive to PS4.
Another notable addition is Soul Hackers 2, a turn-based RPG developed by Atlus, renowned for their work on the absolutely fantastic Metaphor: ReFantazio, as well as the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series. For fans of these games, Soul Hackers 2 could provide the kind of dungeon-crawling experience they’ve been craving. However, it’s only available for PS5.
Additionally, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy is receiving a remastered edition, set to launch on May 20, offering updated graphics, keyboard and mouse support, and specific gameplay modes for the PS5 Pro. This remastered trilogy will be playable on both PS4 and PS5.
Other titles included in the catalog for the month are Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Humankind, Gloomhaven, and Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, rounding out a robust lineup. All these games are set to be available on May 20.
