Poland’s national space agency, POLSA, is in the process of restoring its services after experiencing a cybersecurity breach.

The Polish government agency responsible for overseeing the country’s space activities, POLSA, announced in a statement on X that it had swiftly disconnected its network from the internet following the detection of a cyberattack on Sunday. As of now, the POLSA website remains inaccessible.

Krzysztof Gawkowski, Poland’s digital minister, confirmed in a separate post that state cybersecurity services had identified unauthorized access to POLSA’s IT infrastructure and were working to determine the origin of the cyberattack.

The specifics of the incident have not been disclosed, and POLSA has not responded to questions from TechCrunch at this time.

Earlier this year, Gawkowski stated in an interview with local media outlets that Poland is the most targeted country in the European Union in terms of cyber incidents, with the majority of these incidents attributed to Russia. Last year, the country reported being targeted by APT28, a hacking group sponsored by the Russian military intelligence, as part of a larger campaign.
