The Pokémon Company has announced a morning livestream on February 27 at 9AM ET, where they will share the latest news and updates from the world of Pokémon. The event can be streamed via the official YouTube channel. This annual Pokémon Presents event typically provides insight into what’s to come for the franchise, including new releases and updates that are sure to excite fans.

While The Pokémon Company and Nintendo are keeping details under wraps, we can make some educated guesses about what to expect. Pokemon Legends: Z-A, the sequel to the open-world Pokémon Legends: Arceus, was announced in early 2024. It’s likely that we’ll get more information about the upcoming game during the livestream.

Originally announced as a Switch exclusive, Pokemon Legends: Z-A may now be a dual-release title, given the recent reveal of the Switch 2. We may also get an announcement about the game’s starter Pokémon.

A new Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) set, called Destined Rivals, is set to arrive in May. We can expect a detailed look at this update, as well as possibly a tease for another set in the works. With Pokémon cards remaining popular in both physical and digital forms, we may also get details about new features for TGC Pocket.

Pokémon GO’s next season starts on March 4, just a few days after the livestream. A trailer for the new season is likely, along with updates on new features. Beyond that, it’s anyone’s guess, although many fans are hoping for remakes of Pokémon Black and White. Either way, February 27 is just around the corner, and we’ll soon have all the latest Pokémon news.
