The Android operating system is known for its advanced customization options and user convenience. Starting with Android 16, Google has introduced a new feature that allows users to easily customize keyboard shortcuts, making it more convenient for physical keyboards. This could be particularly beneficial for Galaxy Books, especially those running on One UI 8.

According to a report by Android Authority, a new feature has been discovered in Android 16 beta 2 that enables keyboard shortcut customization. This feature allows users to customize shortcut key combinations on their Android device’s keyboard, in addition to physical keyboards.

Customizable Keyboard Shortcuts in Android 16 Beta 2, Available on Galaxy Books with One UI 8To access this feature, users need to be running at least Android 16 Beta 2 on their device. There are three ways to access the keyboard shortcut customization option: through the Settings page, by tapping the floating toolbar, or by using the Meta+/ shortcut on the keyboard. Once in the shortcut menu, users can customize existing shortcuts or create new ones using the Meta/Action key, as long as the combination is not already in use.
