The Galaxy S25 series from Samsung boasts an array of interactive Galaxy AI features, and its integration with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset significantly enhances the device’s on-device processing capabilities.

Among the various AI functions, Now Brief, exclusive to S25 models, may become available on older devices, as suggested by recent reports.

It was previously stated that Samsung had no plans to expand the Now Brief feature to older Galaxy devices, as it requires an advanced chip with a power-efficient NPU, currently found in Galaxy S25 smartphones due to the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

However, a user on X recently shared that it appears possible to run the Now Brief feature on older Galaxy devices, outside of the S25 series. The user posted screenshots of their Galaxy S23+ device successfully running Now Brief on the lock screen.

A short tutorial was also created, outlining how to enable One UI 7’s Now Brief feature on devices other than Galaxy S25 models. This involves sideloading the Smart Suggestions app (v7.0.03.2) from APK Mirror, setting up SystemUI Tuner, and configuring Now Brief as a lock screen shortcut.

Although the screenshots suggest a limited version of Now Brief, it is anticipated that Samsung may eventually upgrade this Galaxy AI feature for older devices like the Galaxy S23 or S24 series.
