Samsung has recently made an announcement regarding the expansion of its One UI 7.0 beta program, which is a test version of the new Android 15 software, to more Galaxy phone and tablet users. Additionally, the company has shared the expected release timeline for the final, polished update.

One UI 7.0 Stable Update Scheduled for Early April

The official release of One UI 7.0, based on Android 15, is slated to occur in the first week of April 2025. It is anticipated that Samsung’s latest flagship series, the Galaxy S24, will be the first to receive the update, followed by older models.

Samsung has officially confirmed that it will begin expanding the One UI 7 beta program to older Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S10 series, and Galaxy A55, starting from March 6.

Throughout March, the company plans to roll out the beta update to all the aforementioned devices, with the stable version expected to be released in early April. Although Samsung has not disclosed the exact release date for the stable version, it has officially confirmed that the devices will start receiving the final Android 15-based One UI 7 version in April.

It will be interesting to observe which features from the new Galaxy S25 will be introduced to older Galaxy devices through the stable One UI 7 update.

New Features in One UI 7.0

The update brings a visual overhaul to the interface, featuring streamlined menus, smoother motion effects, modernized app icons, and a dynamic “Now Bar” for real-time activity tracking.

Notable upgrades include a revamped camera interface designed for single-handed operation, simplifying access to settings. Additionally, users can expect to see redesigned battery indicators and updated animations during charging.
