This feature will initially be available on the Galaxy S25 and later roll out to older Galaxy devices, enhancing the overall connectivity experience.

Google initially introduced the Instant Hotspot feature with Android 15 last year, but Samsung did not adopt it due to its existing Auto Hotspot feature. However, it appears that Samsung is now embracing the Instant Hotspot feature, which will provide a more seamless experience for users.

Samsung Galaxy devices to get Android Instant Hotspot support with One UI 7

Galaxy S25 users can now utilize the Instant Hotspot feature, allowing them to share their phone’s internet connection with any Android tablet. This feature is currently available on the Galaxy S25 but is expected to expand to other Galaxy devices running One UI 7 in the future.

According to a report from Android Authority, Google has confirmed that the Instant Hotspot feature is available on the Samsung Galaxy S25, running Android 15 (One UI 7). As the feature becomes more widely available, other Galaxy devices with One UI 7 can expect to receive it as well.

The Instant Hotspot feature enables any Android smartphone, tablet, or Chromebook to instantly connect to an Android phone’s hotspot, as long as all devices are signed into the same Google account.

Initially, this feature was not available on Galaxy devices, as Samsung offered its own Auto Hotspot feature. Although both features share similarities, there are some differences; for example, Auto Hotspot is exclusive to Galaxy devices, allowing seamless connections between devices like the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. In contrast, non-Galaxy devices require manual configuration.

It has now been confirmed that the Instant Hotspot feature is compatible with Galaxy devices. A recent update on Google’s support page also verifies this information. As a result, users will receive notifications on their non-Galaxy tablets, asking for permission to use the phone’s hotspot.
