Despite the significant impact of Samsung’s One UI 7 on the UI landscape in recent years, the latest iteration has introduced a notable regression in the smart functionality of Good Lock’s QuickStar, which is no longer accessible on Galaxy devices running the most recent software skin.

Essentially, Good Lock’s QuickStar introduced a feature called Quick Settings Instant Access, enabling Galaxy users to quickly access the Quick Settings panel by swiping down once from the top right corner, eliminating the need for a second swipe to fully expand it. However, this capability has been removed in One UI 7.

A user of the Galaxy S25 expressed their dissatisfaction on the official community forums, stating that the separate view mode of Quick Settings is inconvenient, as it requires two swipes to open the Quick panel and access the music playback menu.

Although Samsung previously introduced the option to separate notifications from Quick Settings via a separate mode, where swiping down from the top right side opens the Quick panel and swiping down from the left side displays notifications, the user reported that their device has the opposite settings for accessing the quick panel and notification center.

Furthermore, the One UI 7 beta 3 version introduced a new option, allowing users to access the quick panel from the left side.

In response, the Good Lock team acknowledged the inconvenience and confirmed that the feature enabling users to swap the left or right separation of the Quick Settings panel, introduced in One UI 7 beta 3, is no longer available in the One UI 7 version. Since the user has a Galaxy S25 device running the stable One UI 7, it appears that Samsung has removed this capability from the stable build.
