Samsung’s latest Android 15-based One UI 7 update is considered the most significant UI update in recent years. The company’s accelerated shift in its update release strategy has enabled it to make the One UI 7 beta available to more Galaxy devices beyond the Galaxy S24. With the beta build now available for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the new App Continuity feature has been introduced to the book-style foldable device.

Essentially, Galaxy Z Fold 6 owners can now continue using an app when they switch to the device’s cover screen, thanks to the latest One UI 7 beta update (via Reddit).

Users have shared a screenshot showing the Continue apps on the cover screen page, which features a new Swipe to continue option. This option enables Galaxy Z Fold 6 owners to continue using the same app on their device’s cover screen by swiping on the screen.

Additionally, there are two more options available in the App Continuity settings. The first option, Always, automatically opens the app used on the main screen on the cover screen when the device is folded. The second option, Never, locks the screen automatically when the user folds the device.

Previously, with One UI 6.1.1, Samsung allowed users to enable or disable the App Continuity feature for specific apps. However, this feature seems to have been removed in the One UI 7 beta. Instead, the company has added the aforementioned three options to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 devices.
