Samsung has confirmed that it will be expanding the One UI 7 beta program to multiple older devices. However, the list of eligible devices does not include Fan edition devices, suggesting that the company may limit the beta program to its main devices.

Will Samsung Exclude Fan Edition Phones from One UI 7 Beta?

Samsung often showcases its latest innovations through its flagship smartphones. Nevertheless, due to their premium pricing, these devices may not reach a wide consumer base. To address this, Samsung has introduced Fan edition variants of some flagship devices, including the Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy S23 FE.

While these devices are preferred for their software updates, following closely behind the flagship devices, they seem to be excluded from beta testing for unknown reasons.

Although Samsung has not officially announced any clear policy on this matter, observations suggest that the company might reserve beta access for premium device users, particularly for certain segment devices like the Galaxy A55 in the A series.

Galaxy Z Fold SE Also Misses Out on Beta Eligibility

Last year, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Fold SE, a new foldable device with features similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 but in a slimmer body. Despite its similar specs, Samsung has also excluded this device from beta eligibility and upcoming updates.
