Introduction to Alarmo

Nintendo of America has announced that the game-themed alarm clock, Alarmo, is now available for purchase by the general public, with or without a Switch Online membership. The alarm clock comes in a bright red color and features a variety of built-in themes, including Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, and Ring Fit Adventure. Additionally, Nintendo has confirmed that more themes, such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, will be available for free in the future.

Availability and Pricing

Alarmo will be sold in select stores starting in March, as well as online in other regions. The alarm clock can be purchased for $100, which some may find steep, but its unique features and charm may make it worth the investment for fans of Nintendo games.

Features and Capabilities

The Alarmo alarm clock can wake users up and put them to sleep with sounds and animations from their chosen game title. It also includes a motion sensor for sleep tracking, although the effectiveness of this feature has been questioned in some reviews, such as Engadget’s review. Despite some drawbacks, the alarm clock’s charm and unique features, such as the characters celebrating when the user wakes up, may make it a desirable purchase for some fans.

Previous Availability

Alarmo was initially available for purchase in October, but only for Nintendo Switch Online members. However, Nintendo recently announced that the alarm clock is now available on the My Nintendo store, with no Switch Online membership required.

Purchase Information

For those interested in purchasing Alarmo, it is available for $100 and can be found in select stores or online. Some may find the idea of having a troupe of characters, such as Pikmin, greeting them every morning to be extremely tempting.
