Jason Momoa appeared in the first Dune film as Duncan Idaho, a fearless warrior and close friend of Paul’s. Although his character was killed, he will return in Messiah as a “ghola,” a clone-like character. The Atreides children will also play significant roles, potentially inheriting the franchise from their father. The decision to cast Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, Jason’s son, adds a personal touch to the film, demonstrating Villeneuve’s attention to detail and commitment to the Dune universe.
