The introduction of the next-generation Galaxy S26 series by Samsung is slated for early 2026, with expectations of minor enhancements to the camera and potential limitations of new battery technology to the ultra variant.
Following the launch of the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year, Samsung is expected to expand its lineup with the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026. Although the release is over half a year away, the market is already abuzz with leaks and rumors surrounding the upcoming series.
It was recently reported that the Galaxy S26 series may not receive a significant battery upgrade. A reliable tipster, Anthony, has now shared a text post claiming that Samsung may reserve significant changes in battery technology for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, while the base and plus variants may only receive a slight increase in battery capacity.
The tipster also revealed that Samsung may make minor changes to the camera on the Galaxy S26. Previous leaks suggested that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could feature a 200MP 4X Telephoto camera in a new triple-camera setup. However, the latest report contradicts this, suggesting that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will instead feature a traditional quad-camera setup.
Samsung has not yet released official specifications for the battery and camera of the upcoming series, so it remains to be seen whether this report will come to fruition.
