Introduction to Microsoft Build 2025

Microsoft’s annual Build developer conference is set to kick off on May 19, commencing with a keynote address. The opening event can be streamed live, starting at 12:05 PM Eastern time, on Microsoft’s website, although registration and sign-in are required to access the livestream. Alternatively, the keynote will also be available to stream on YouTube, accessible below.

Keynote Details

The event will be hosted by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and the company’s Chief Technology Officer, Kevin Scott, similar to the previous year. According to the keynote page, the executives will discuss how Microsoft is creating new opportunities across its platforms in the era of AI.

Expectations from Microsoft Build 2025

Microsoft has been introducing new AI features at Build over the last few years, and this trend is expected to continue. It is anticipated that Microsoft will add more AI agents to Windows 11 to automate tasks for users on the operating system. Additionally, the company may provide an in-depth look at Copilot Vision, a feature that enables the AI assistant to see what users are doing on their computers, allowing it to guide them through various tasks. However, it is unlikely that Microsoft will announce new hardware at the event, considering the recent launch of a 12-inch Surface Pro tablet and a 13-inch Surface Laptop.

Conference Schedule and Other Events

Microsoft’s Build conference will take place from May 19 to May 22. Around the same time, two other significant tech events are scheduled: Google’s I/O conference from May 20 to 21 and the Computex computer expo in Taiwan from May 20 to 23.
