Remaining Safe Even in Remote Areas

To enhance safety, we are extending the Satellite SOS feature to cover more regions including Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, and Canada. This ensures that you can reach emergency services even without cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity.

Staying Connected with Verizon and T-Mobile

For Verizon users, it’s now possible to send text messages to family and friends or connect with emergency services via satellite when cellular or Wi-Fi is not available, all through your Pixel device.

Similarly, T-Mobile users can now send texts to 911 during emergencies without needing cellular or Wi-Fi, and also share messages with loved ones over satellite connections.

Locating Friends and Family

The Find My Device feature now allows you to share your live location with friends and family, ensuring they know you’ve arrived safely at your destination. This feature enables location sharing through the app’s settings, allowing others to track your movement in real-time. Additionally, friends and family can share their locations with you as well.

Enabling Loss of Pulse Detection in the U.S.

Following the recent FDA clearance in the U.S., the Pixel Watch 3’s Loss of Pulse Detection feature is set to roll out by the end of this month. This innovative feature can identify sudden heart stoppages due to various health emergencies, such as pulmonary cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, overdose, or poisoning. If the user is unresponsive, it automatically triggers a call to emergency services, potentially saving lives. For more information, visit Loss of Pulse Detection.
