Jessica Jones, the beloved and fierce private investigator, is making a comeback and joining the Disney+ lineup of Marvel street-level heroes. According to Variety, Krysten Ritter (Sonic The Hedgehog 3) has officially signed on to reprise her role in season two of Daredevil: Born Again.

This news marks another addition to the Netflix Defenders squad, as well as the Punisher, making their way to the Disney+ platform as part of Marvel Television. The announcement was made at Disney’s upfront presentation in NYC, where Ritter joined Daredevil star Charlie Cox on stage. Ritter expressed her excitement, stating, “It’s great to be back, returning to Jessica after three seasons and The Defenders, and now joining the MCU.”

Ritter also teased her character’s role in the series, currently in production, saying, “I’m excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there’s much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!”

Ritter previously portrayed the hero in three seasons of the Jessica Jones standalone show and appeared in The Defenders on Netflix. As a comic-book detective with numerous crossovers with other Marvel heroes, it will be interesting to see what brings her to Hell’s Kitchen to work with Matt again.
