We were aware that John Mulaney had landed a live Netflix talk show following the success of his previous special, Everybody’s in LA. Now, more information has been released. Mulaney has dropped a trailer for the show and confirmed a March 12 air date.

The newly released trailer encapsulates the chaotic essence of Mulaney’s previous specials, which is fitting given his prior statement that he “never wanted to host a talk show.” The trailer is essentially a drone shot of Mulaney standing in a dimly lit parking lot, complaining about filming the promotional video. Eventually, he announces that “Everybody’s Live is on Wednesdays live” and puts on sunglasses. He is also referring to Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney as “the first-ever celebrity sit-down talk show.”

For viewers of Everybody’s in LA, one question likely comes to mind: Will co-host Richard Kind be returning? The answer is yes, and he will be joined by the beloved delivery robot Saymo.

Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney is set to run for 12 weeks, airing on Wednesdays. It has already been renewed for a second season, which is expected to air in late 2025 or early 2026. As for Netflix, the platform has been expanding its livestreaming capabilities. It has previously aired events such as the Mike Tyson/Jake Paul fight, Mulaney’s previous show, golf matches, awards ceremonies, and has announced plans to stream its own Tudum event.
