Jared Kaplan boasts an impressive background. Before co-founding Anthropic, he spent 15 years as a theoretical physicist at Johns Hopkins University, delving into quantum gravity, field theory, and cosmology. His research on scaling laws has been instrumental in transforming the AI industry’s understanding and prediction of advanced system behavior. Notably, Kaplan contributed to the development of GPT-3 and Codex at OpenAI and played a key role in developing Claude, Anthropic’s family of AI assistants.
